As you are aware, every non-federally regulated private sector business establishment in Ontario with 10 or more employees and every public sector establishment must develop and maintain a pay equity, ensuring that equal pay for work of equal value is fairly compensated, as per the Pay Equity Act.

The Pay Equity Office is responsible for enforcing the Pay Equity Act by investigating complaints from employees or their representatives and monitoring employers for compliance. As part of its enforcement role, the office engages in a proactive program to educate employers about the implementation and maintenance of pay equity.

In this session you will learn:

  • Learn about the employer's obligation and responsibility under the Pay Equity Act
  • Considerations to achieve pay equity in the workplace
  • Eliminating Gender Bias
  • The importance of maintenance of Pay Equity

This webinar will be facilitated by the Compliance Services and Programs group at the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). This informative 90 minute webinar will include a 60 minute presentation and 30 minute responses to pre-submitted questions as well as engaging polling questions.
