Classroom Classroom courses are offered according to academic term schedules at selected colleges and universities across Canada. Contact the college/university of your choice for start dates. Important: You must register with and pay applicable fees to both the college/university and the Canadian Payroll Association. Find a course in your area Challenge Do you have the payroll knowledge to write the exam without taking the full course? Take the 2-month Challenge course for Payroll Compliance Legislation, Payroll Fundamentals 1 or Payroll Fundamentals 2. Test your knowledge using our online tool, the Payroll Knowledge Evaluator (PKE) beforehand. Challenge students receive full printed course materials, but have no access to a facilitator or online review tools. The online exam must be written in the presence of a proctor at any time during the two month period before the official course end date of the course. There is no option to transfer or withdraw from a challenge course. Register here Course Fees Payroll Certifications in Canada are only available to members of the Canadian Payroll Association. If you would like to register for any course leading towards either the Payroll Compliance Practitioner or Certified Payroll Manager certifications and are not a member, click here to join as a Candidate Member (fee: $99 annually).
