Payroll professionals in Canada are collectively responsible for remitting $ 343 billion in statutory remittances to federal and provincial governments annually. While many of us rely on payroll software that has been programmed to calculate these amounts, as professionals we need to be able to provide oversight on these remittances. What’s more, we need to be prepared when employees have questions about their payroll deductions.
