As Canada’s economy continues to recover from the pandemic and emergency programs wind down the federal and provincial/territorial governments are implementing plans to support a strong recovery. Along with these changes, starting in 2023 the tax treatment of the enhanced portion of Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Quebec Pension Plan (QPP) contributions will have a direct impact on your employees’ pay period income tax deductions.
