In response to ongoing tariff threats and shifting political dynamics, Canada’s federal and provincial governments are rolling out special measures and new support initiatives to assist businesses and workers in navigating economic uncertainties, avoiding layoffs and retaining their talented workforce.
Please check the Institute’s Resources regularly, especially our Late Breaking Payroll News, for updates on provinces and territories introducing payroll-related measures to support Canadian businesses and workers and any special measures introduced under the Employment Insurance program and the Work-Sharing program for additional support to businesses during a period of economic turndown, natural disaster, or if a national emergency is declared.
NPI’s own Irena Stoyanova (PLP, HBA), Payroll Compliance Advisor, will facilitate this important topic.

With over 18 years of experience in multi-divisional and multi-jurisdictional payroll and extensive knowledge and application of best practices, Irena has successfully managed a multitude of payroll-related projects. As a subject matter expert, she has provided value-added services to organizations by managing policy and legislative changes as well as streamlining and improving payroll and business processes.
