Alberta pre-budget submission 2023

The National Payroll Institute is a key stakeholder and trusted advisor to government. As part of this advocacy work, the Institute participates in pre-budget consultations, and on January 13, 2023, we made a pre-budget submission to Alberta Finance addressing the proposal made by the government that the province could exit from the Canada Pension Plan to create an Alberta Pension Plan. The Institute’s submission highlighted the adverse effects on the payroll profession should this proposal be implemented.
