Ontario Payroll Burden Reduction Advisory Council

The National Payroll Institute has reiterated its recommendation that the Ontario government move forward on forming a Payroll Burden Reduction Advisory Council, as had previously been committed to in the 2019 provincial budget. The Institute currently operates payroll administration advisory councils federally, in Quebec, and for provinces outside of Quebec. A dedicated Ontario council would help to ensure that initiatives impacting employers and payroll get the attention they deserve and support the government in successfully implementing new programs or policy changes.
