Vacations: Legislative Requirements and Greater Benefits - 2 Part Series - Archived Webinar

Everyone enjoys taking vacation; being able to recharge both body and mind is critical to employee wellness and productivity. For payroll professionals who have to deal with the legislated requirements tied to time off, however, vacations can be a source of anxiety.

That’s why the National Payroll Institute is hosting an informative webinar series that explores the legislative basics tied to creating a well-documented vacation policy. It will help you determine whether your organization’s plan meets or exceeds what’s required and will answer any questions you have about administering vacation leave and pay.

Part 1

Is your organization fully compliant with Employment and Labour Standards in all jurisdictions regarding vacation? It’s important to know!

Part 2

The concept of unlimited vacation time is relatively new. Organizations looking to adopt this model must ask themselves a few questions:

• How do you ensure employees are not exaggerating?
• How would you handle vacation owed upon termination?
• Are other Employment Standards requirements still respected?
